“Quinkan Dream” is a work in progress inspired by the ancient landscapes of Cape York Peninsula and the timeless beauty of Australia’s First Nations heritage. This artwork is a journey through the spirit of Country — drawing inspiration from the remarkable Quinkan rock art sites, where stories, symbols, and connections to the land have been preserved for generations. As this painting develops, layers of colour, texture, and imagination are slowly woven together to capture the feeling of an ancient landscape where rainforest, wildlife, and Country exist in harmony.Each brushstroke reveals another part of the story, creating a visual connection between the past, the present, and the natural world around us.
